Brett D. Henderson Frame-Indexed Classical Theism

The complete catalogue

Christian apologetics books that argue rather than survey.

Two series, fourteen volumes, one framework underneath. If you have been looking for Christian apologetics books that argue a position through rather than survey four of them, this is the catalogue. Every book reads standalone, and the first one is free.

What these books are, and what they are not

Most Christian apologetics books are written to defend a position against an opponent. These are written to show that the opponents have been arguing about a term neither side pinned down — which is a different job, and it produces a different kind of book.

The theology books in The Many Beings Framework each take one classical dilemma and resolve it by indexing the term that generates it. Sovereignty against free will. A good God against a world of suffering. Eternity against time. Changelessness against interaction. Infinity against a beginning. Absoluteness against relativity. Indeterminacy against providence. Seven volumes, seven dilemmas, one method.

What separates them from the rest of the shelf is that the inferences are shown. Definitions are stated before they are used, each step is available to attack, and the conclusions are open to refutation strictly on the merits. That is unusual in Christian apologetics books, and it is deliberate: a framework that can only be disagreed with in general terms cannot be trusted in particular ones.

Readers who buy Christian apologetics books by the armful tend to notice the difference quickly. They are not devotional, and they are not introductory. If you have watched the debates, read the popular treatments and come away sensing the real issue was never addressed, these were written for you. If you want a gentle first encounter with the questions, they were not.

Two series, two readers

The Many Beings Framework is analytic theology for readers already inside the conversation. The Shepherd’s Path is church leadership for pastors with a growth problem and no patience for abstraction. The register differs completely; the conviction underneath does not.

Neither series is a simplified version of the other. What they share is the claim that thinking carefully is an act of stewardship rather than a substitute for faith — and that applies as much to running a church as to reading Scripture.

Series One — analytic theology

The Many Beings Framework

Seven volumes. Each takes one dilemma, states its definitions, shows its inferences, and engages the tradition at full strength rather than in summary. These are the Christian apologetics books the framework was built to produce.

Volume Three Eternity vs. time

Resolving Time and Eternity

A Biblical Framework for Divine Eternity & Human Temporality

A-theory, B-theory, eternalism, presentism. Thirty-four chapters on what “now” can and cannot mean when said of a Being whose mode of existence is not sequential.

Volume Four Changelessness vs. interaction

Resolving Immutability & Interaction

A Biblical Framework for Divine Changelessness & Interaction

If God does not change, what happens when Scripture says he relents? Impassibility, process theology and open theism, addressed at the level of the error rather than the conclusion.

Cover of Resolving Rest & Relativity In production

Volume Six Absoluteness vs. relativity

Resolving Rest & Relativity

A Biblical Framework for Divine Absoluteness & Physical Relativity

Special and general relativity say there is no privileged frame. Classical theism says there is. This volume argues both, and shows why that is not a contradiction.

Cover of Resolving Probability & Providence In production

Volume Seven Indeterminacy vs. providence

Resolving Probability & Providence

A Biblical Framework for Quantum & Classical Unity

Quantum mechanics describes a world that is irreducibly probabilistic. Providence describes one that is exhaustively governed. Both are true, and the appearance of conflict is an indexing error.
